you are here because your computer won’t shut down or take forever to shut down from 15 minutes and up.

why?

before a computer shutoff it must close all the programs and applications running. sometime some faulty application can’t be closed cause the problem.

this application it can be a software or hardware issue.

how to figure out witch of the applications stopping the computer?

first let start with software issue.

run your computer in clean boot (read how to make a clean boot) and shut it down . if it shut down easily, than the problem is a software that block your computer. Now in your system try to enable half of the applications you disable when you make the clean boot restart and than shut it down. if it’s OK so the problem is in the other half still disabled, do the same process with reaming half applications enable the half of this half. if it’s OK the problem still in the other 1/8 application, … keep doing it until you find the application. when you find the program even you disable it if you don’t need it, or check for n update that may be needed.

Hardware issue

if the problem persistent even with a clean boot (read how to make a clean boot) so maybe some device driver need to be updated or downgraded.

go to control panel, device manager (read how to open device manager) . check if there is an issue with the drivers. if everything looks OK than start disabling one device at a time, start with the video card or display, restart or shut off if the problem get resolved than you video card must be updated or downgraded try to update first from the manufacturer of the video card . if it s not the video card next device to check is the LAN than wireless , and keep doing the same thing with other devices until you find the right one. most times it’s even the video card or networking

why or when I should use a clean boot?

Some times you have a problem with your computer, like it doesn’t shut off, very slow , … so you may need it to figure out the problem.

How I do a clean boot?

for vista and 7 or 8, click start on the search bar type : system.msc even it will take you to the system directly or it may open the search page with link to system.msc either way you will get a window like the one bellow: go to services Tab

check hide all Microsoft service and than click disable all and click Apply. please remamber to hide Microsoft services before you disable any thing. and hit OK and restart your system

PCeU virus or (Police Central e-crime Unit) virus is an other ransom Virus, it’s a similar virus like the FBI Virus a POP UP Windows block your access to desktop computer and asking you a ransom-ware using Ucash.

from where it come the virus?

most time it come from Porn website, peer to peer sever, Utorent, limeware, Ares, … , crack software.

what you should do when you get it?

First thing don’t pay them! I know some customers who pay. They get confused especially if you get this virus when you are in a wrong place or doing some thing that my look illegal. like you were downloading a movie, watching porn that may look like a underage porn, many people get confused. any way don’t pay.
Don’t restore our computer to an early date, it will not work or you may get other problems.
there some who format there HD and put a fresh version of software, don’t do it just because of a virus. the virus can be cleaned, it’s not a big deal.

How to remove it?

If you can run your computer in safe mode (chek how you can run computer in safe mode with networking, if you don’t know how. , it will open in a new page) without getting blocked by the virus the problem is almost resolved. Download Combofix from bleepingcomputer from an other computer put it on an external HD or flash drive. uninstall any antivirus you have in your computer, and double click on combofix from your flash drive, a blue windows Ms dos will come-up just follow the steps if it ask you to update the ComboFix just hit yes I suppose you are connected to net. let it running until it’s done, you must now rid off it. In the same time download an antispyware like malwarebyte (you can download it from here) and make a full clean for your computer, also don’t forget to clean registry with your preferred one (if you don’t have any you can use ccleaner or AML Cleaner, both are a good free software)
If the malware popups even on safe mode, than you ca use a hitman pro kickstart to skip this pop up and clean your computer with hitman pro. You will need a flash drive a second computer to download hitmanpro and create the kikstart.
